Mrs. Hazel E. (Pretzman) Campanella entered into enteral rest on Feb 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Hazel was the widow of Fredrick Campanella Sr. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and has been a life time resident of Kensington.

Hazel had a great love for her family, she was the owner operator of several restaurants in CT., and the head chef at her last restaurant; The Black Whale in Niantic. She had a great sense of humor and will be remembered for her witty jokes, her cravings for jelly and donuts...

She had a great sense of humor and will be remembered for her witty jokes, her cravings for jelly and donuts and always wanting to watch QVC. She was predeceased by daughter Shirley Willard. She is survived by daughter Debbie Siembab of Kensington, son Fredrick Campanella Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Berlin , sister Betty Penley of VA., and son-in-law Sam Willard., 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday Feb. 4, 2017 from 9:30am until 11:00am at the New Britain Memorial -Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, with a Celebrant Service at 11am at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery Rocky Hill.
