Giovannina (Napolitano) Marotta, 82, beloved wife to the late Pasquale Marotta, of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2017. She was born in Italy, daughter to the late Nicola and Maria (Tufano) Napolitano. Giovannina was a longtime resident of Plainville moving from Italy 43 years ago. She worked at Kensington Fashion for many years and later for Pratt and Whitney. Giovannina was a longtime devout parishioner of St. Ann Church, New Britain. Giovannina (Napolitano) Marotta, 82, beloved wife to the late Pasquale Marotta, of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2017. She was born in Italy, daughter to the late Nicola and Maria (Tufano) Napolitano. Giovannina was a longtime resident of Plainville moving from Italy 43 years ago. She worked at Kensington Fashion for many years and later for Pratt and Whitney. Giovannina was a longtime devout parishioner of St. Ann Church, New Britain. She enjoyed cooking, making and sharing her homemade wine and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed life to it's fullest, especially her beloved family and most of all, she loved and cherished her grandchildren.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by: her three sons, Carlo and Kira Marotta of Italy, Nick Marotta and wife Josie and Andrew Marotta, her three daughters, Anna Maria Miele and husband Gino of Berlin, Emily Munson and husband Steven of Plainville and Linda Marotta. A brother Andrea Napolitano and wife Carmela, two sisters, Rosetta Notaro and husband Giuseppe and Carmelina Grasso, all of Italy, her six precious grandchildren: Angelo and his companion Angela, Kezia and her husband Claudio, Domenic and his wife Milena, Connie, Michael and Robert, her three sweet great grand daughters, Zoe, Giada and Giuliana and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a sister, Giuseppina Addeo and brother in laws; Felice Addeo and Gaetano Grasso.

A time of visitation will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 8-10am at the New Britain Memorial Donald D.Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue,New Britain, followed by her funeral liturgy at 11am in St. Ann Church, North St, New Britain. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Smilow Breast Cancer Center.
