Carole Vieira (Hibbard), 69, of Southington passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday November 19, 2013. Carole was born on March 24, 1944 in New Britain, CT to the late Roger and Madelyn (McIntyre) Hibbard. She grew up in New Britain, married Richard Vieira, and later settled in Southington to raise their family. She attended Goodwin Technical School and was employed by T.J. Maxx in Southington, retiring in 2010.Carole enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with family. Carole Vieira (Hibbard), 69, of Southington passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday November 19, 2013. Carole was born on March 24, 1944 in New Britain, CT to the late Roger and Madelyn (McIntyre) Hibbard. She grew up in New Britain, married Richard Vieira, and later settled in Southington to raise their family. She attended Goodwin Technical School and was employed by T.J. Maxx in Southington, retiring in 2010.Carole enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with family. Most recently she shared her crocheting talent by making and donating prayer shawls to the ICU of the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Carole will most be remembered for her sense of humor and her appreciation of the simple pleasures of life.Carole is survived by her four daughters, Donna Vieira of Hull, MA, Laurie Nickolas and her husband David of South Windsor, CT, Diane Arduini of Plainville, CT and Nicole Biernat and her husband Christopher of Meriden, CT, her fifteen sweet grandchildren; Angela, Erica, Joshua, David, Steven, Kevin, Bobby, Jaclyn, Sarah, Alyssa, Siana, Derek, Nadia, Holden and Ramona and her five sweet great-grandchildren; Zander, Jessica, Mya, Lilyanna and Jocelynn. Carole was also predeceased by a granddaughter; Katie and great granddaughter, Annabelle.Carole's family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of the Hospital of Central Connecticut, especially the ICU staff, as well as the VNA Health Care Hospice Team of Southington, particularly her nurses Joann and Lil, for their wonderful care during her recent illness, as well as to their friends and relatives for their many acts of kindness and support.Family and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. at the New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, with her Service of Remembrance at 4:00pm.
